Destinations To Visit This Season

By Guy Salomone

Christmas time is a distant memory, Easter is over for another year, and as we approach the mid of April there is only one factor on many individual's minds, and that is their annual summer season holiday!

Despite the gloom and doom of everyday living such as the tough economy, high unemployment, and ever-rising fuel prices, it seems we are all pleased to splash our cash on that well-deserved break, and why not, every person requires a summer getaway!

So the problem now is where should one proceed? Well, if you take a look at what the online tour operators have to offer it seems the world really is our oyster. For vacation trips in exotic places, the prices are reasonably competitive, the choices are endless, and if 2012 is the year that you're going to take your "holiday of a lifetime", you are set for a treat!

The Mediterranean remains famous for the Brits, and when you think that Spain, Italy, the Greek Islands and the Canary Islands are all less than a 4-hour airline flight, it is hardly unexpected that these holiday places pull the crowds of people yearly.

Those in search of something a bit more unique might head towards Asia, and go to the ever more popular nations of Vietnam, Cambodia and the Philippines, where one can appreciate amazing scenery, excellent food, and friendly hospitality for much less than one would pay out in European countries.

Long-haul locations are absolutely on the grow, and with tickets to Australia pricing little money, it is no wonder vacationers are waving farewell to the Costa del Sol in support of Waltzing with Matilda down under!

Every tourist has a safari written somewhere on their bucket list, and if you see the prices of Botswana relatively restrictive, then why not go on down to nearby South Africa! During our summer months of July and August, the places below the equator move into their "low season" so safaris are affordable, less populated, and much more enjoyable than any other moment of the season.
