The summer this year was a bit disappointing, to say the least. So why not get away somewhere where the sun actually shines? It's not too late to enjoy summery weather in Ibiza.
While Ibiza is the number one party spot during the heydays of summer, come autumn the majority of revellers have left, and you can kick back and enjoy the best of the island at a more relaxed pace. Plus, activities and hotels in Ibiza will be cheaper, as you'll be visiting in the low season. Check out the great things to do at this time of year....
If you fancy some shopping, you'll love a spot of retail therapy in Ibiza. Check out the local boutiques and markets, perfect for getting some summery clothes, or even some souvenirs and gifts to take back with you. Best of all, you won't have to deal with the peak season crowds.
If you book your hotels in the San Carlos or Sant Jordi area, then you'll be close enough to shop some of the more famous markets, such as the Sant Jordi Flea Market or the Las Dalias Hippy market. And you won't have far to go to drop off your bags of new purchases, either.
Of course, if you DID want to take part in some of the famous nightclub action, then time your trip for the first half of October, when some of the major clubs hold their closing parties. Tickets can be expensive but obviously many feel it's worth it as these events always sell out! Most of the Ibiza hotels near San Antonio book out well in advance, so it pays to be quick if you want to join in. After all, you can always relax afterwards, and nurse your danced-out feet on a beach with a cocktail.
